1- Montreal
International Jazz Festival
This wonderful festivals usually takes place from end of June through
July, the Montreal International Jazz Festival has become, in the space
of twenty five years, the jazz rendezvous of the world. Today, visitors
can choose from among over 400 concerts - some 300 of which are
presented outdoors, free of charge - that showcase the talents of the
world's finest performers of jazz music and its spin-offs.
Some 2000 artists and
over 1.5 million festival-goers converge upon Montreal each summer.
2- Les
Francofolies de Montreal
This Festival takes place from July through August, for the sixteenth
consecutive year, the world's second largest French-speaking city hosts
the largest musical event in the French-speaking world.
The FrancoFolies de Montreal! This popular event, reputed for its
cultural diversity and cheered up by music and street art, attracts
over half a million spectators and some 1000 artists, musicians,
singing stars and budding talents from approximately twenty countries.
This one-of-a-kind event,
which takes place in the heart of downtown Montreal, offers 50 indoor
performances and some 150 outdoor shows--the latter free of charge.
3- Quebec City
Summer Festival
This event takes place on July, in the summer; Quebec City is
transformed into a huge open-air stage. Enjoy more than 400 shows put
on by hundreds of artists from all over the world presenting a mixed
program of francophone song, world beat, classical music, new trends,
street performances and more!
4- Festival de
Lanaudiere
Festival de Lanaudiere recognized as one of the most prominent
classical music events in North America, this festival boasts the
participation of nationally and internationally renowned soloists. The
concerts and recitals are held at the Amphitheatre of Lanaudiere,
located in Joliette, as well as in churches throughout the region.

The Montreal World Film Festival
August - September
The World Film Festival main goal is to promote support cultural
diversity and understanding between nations, foster the art of
cinematography from around the globe by stimulating the development of
quality cinema, promote cinema d'auteur and innovative film and
discover and encourage new talents.

Mondial des cultures de Drummondville
This is a unique opportunity to discover and to learn more about the
cultures of 45 countries through dance, music, traditional dress and
crafts. Take in more than 350 shows, interactive presentations and
exchanges presented both indoors and out at 11 different sites. An
invitation to discover the peoples of the world, take part in a
marvellous celebration of the cultural mosaic, and enjoy a cultural
communion of peace and friendship.

theatre des Ameriques
A biennial event celebrating international experimental theatre, the
FTA brings together amateurs and professionals alike and hosts the most
innovative companies of the moment. Since its founding, it has
presented 155 performances from 26 countries to over 250 000 spectators.

Le Carrefour international de theatre
One of Canada's foremost festivals, the Carrefour is a prestigious
event that takes place in an exciting city. It offers theatre lovers,
neophytes and adventurers a comprehensive program drawn from the most
innovative international contemporary creations: 90 performances and
accessible artistic activities. A cultural experience that's a must!

International Garden Festival
The International Garden Festival provides a venue for the creation of
contemporary gardens. An annual event, it features garden created by
designers from Canada and abroad. Open to designers, architects,
landscape architects, and artists the world over, the festival is the
first of its kind in North America.

Over 2,000 shows, including more than 1,300 free events in the heart of
the Latin Quarter, by artists from around the world
In the
heart of Old Quebec City, Le Grand Rire Bleue comedy festival brings
together nearly one hundred comedians for ten days, during which you
can take in a number of original shows in auditoriums and outdoor
venues. Many galas are held throughout the week, providing plenty of
opportunities for the next generation of comedians.
